The PowerBolt by Weiser Lock provides the convenience of keyless door locks and entry systems for today's active lifestyle. This operates on just 4 AA batteries and permits access with your personalized code or a key. It is easy to install, easy to program and easy to use.

  • The easy touch keypad makes entry quick and safe when it''s dark
  • Requires no wiring and easily replaces existing door hardware
  • Only requires standard size deadbolt opening for installation
  • Adjustable bolt for 2 3/8"" or 2 3/4"" throw
  • Will fit door 1 3/8"" to 2"" (35 - 50mm) thick
  • If 3 wrong codes are entered in a row a buzzer will sound for 15 seconds and the system shuts down to discourage further guessing

Never locked out again This was a great solution to many problems. With this lock I can allow people access to the house and also be a convience for me. Wife also loves it. A little large for what I would want on a front door. Used it for a side door on the house. Install was easy and a direct replacement for a normal lock. Just added the screws to hold it in place. Easy to program and, with SmartKey, also easy to rekey. October 22, 2010

If you forget your code for the lock how do you put in a new one

For information on reprograming the Weiser Lock GED1460X-S you would need to contact Weiser Lock's customer service department. We do not have access to this specific information. Their phone number is 1-800-677-5625

It states that it is easy to use in dark, but it does not say that it is backlit. Some Weiser models were not. Is this one backlit?

What is the difference between a 5-pin cylinder and a SmartKey cylinder?

The Weiser Lock GED1460X-S has the smart key ability and what that does is allow you to key it and rekey it whenever you want with the smart key tool. The 5-pin cylinder would be a regular lock.

What kind of knob is recommended for this lock?

The Weiser Lock GED1460X-S is usable with any weiser lock. It is customer preference.

What is the back made plastic or matching metal

With the SmartKey cylinder can I use my existing Weiser key or do I need a locksmith?
