Love the fixture- love the price, delivered faster than I expected too! Only wish I could "lock" the downrod into place better, the lock washer really doesn't do it.

Love it!
The fixture is very beautiful and has a classic charm to it. The adjusting feature was a bonus! I have this hanging above my sink in between my cabinets in my renovated french country kitchen and I love it! Great price too!

Lovely
I bought two of these to hang over my kitchen island. I love the look of school house lighting but not the price. These fit the bill and at an amazing price, more than half the amount of any others like it. The soft glow coming from them in the evening looks so pretty!

awesome 50s style kitchen light!
This light is wonderful, stylish, easy to assemble and looks great in our tiny NYC apt kitchen. We were looking for a sort of 50s style diner light and this one is perfect!

The World Imports WI9009 is adjustable from 24-36" I can not advise making it shorter, but I'm sure a clever electrician can make just about anything happen.

It all depends on the finish you choose. The Satin Nickel comes with frosted glass the oil rubbed bronze comes with opal glass. I went to the manufacturer's website and that is what they list as the glass finishes.
