Range hood I looked for six months locally and on the net. Venting Direct had exactly what I wanted. July 30, 2011

Nice hood! I had a hard time selecting a midrange hood - there seems to be a glut of high end fancy hoods, or rather ugly low end hoods. This one however is very understated, very quiet, the light is beautiful and it was easy to install. I have cleaned it twice since I have had it up, and it is easy to clean both the exterior and the filters. March 1, 2010

Can it be installed with a 6 inch round duct?

The Zephyr Ak1236 can only be installed with the 3 1/4" x 10" duct size.

Is this hood ductless?

The Zephyr AK1236 is ducted to the outside. It can be converted to a ductless hood. The recirculating kit will need to be purchased separately. That part number is 0AK11-21001.

what is the height of this hood ?

The height is 20.5 inches.

Can this unit be used in a ductless recirculating mode if installed under cabinet? If so, do the recirculating grills vent to the inside of the cabinet above or to where?

The Zephyr AK1236 would use the recirculating kit OAK11-21001. The kit would be inside the unit itself and come out the bottom.
