695 CFM 36 Inch Wide Stainless Steel Under Cabinet Range Hood with Halogen Lighting from the Hurricane Collection
Great kitchen fan
The hurricane lives up to its description as a quiet and powerful fan. Don't notice much difference in sound from low to high, it's quiet compared to my old fan. The halogen bulbs are difficult to replace, one bulb blew when initially turned on. The provided suction cup doesnt help much in installing bulbs. I have replaced both with dimmable LEDs. Fan Installation was fairly easy. I could have used a longer start collar.
The timer feature is nice. Lighting is bright for cooking. The LEDs are more focused and brighter than the original bulbs.
The fan is very effective in removing cooking fumes etc. the hood extends farther out than most, might annoy a tall person, but leads to good venting.

Excellent hood for home
This hood exceeds our expectations. We are a house of cooks and this hood gives excellent ventilation and excellent lighting. We deep fry and blacken fish. And occasionally burn garlic bread. This hood takes care of them all. When on high and the windows closed, you have to pull harder on our entry doors to close them -- that means the fan is working pretty well! We haven't tried the self-cleaning function yet.

I've had an Imperial slide out hood for the past 19 years and decided to finally upgrade. My old hood didn't cover the entire stove surface when pulled out and only had a small 6 or 7 inch plastic fan, so when I cooked, I could usually smell what I cooked throughout the house. Also, the fan would get out of balance and be quite noisy. The new Zephyr fan is absolutely wonderful! It covers the entire stove surface, and is much quieter. I wondered what the "Quattro Vent" was all about. Well, it has the dual fans that suck up all the smell and smoke, and while you are standing by the stove, you get the benefit of a nice cool breeze that comes over the top of the hood so that you don't get so overheated while cooking! I like the timer feature as well. I have an electric stove, so when you've turned it off the burners stay hot for awhile. The timer feature allows you to leave the fan running for a set amount of time (you choose the amount) and turns it off automatically so you don't have to come back to do it yourself . The halogen lights are nice and bright so you can really see what you're doing. I wish I would have upgraded sooner!

I finished the installation yesterday with the help of a knowledgeable electrician. It was complicated by the inadequate instructions and documentation provided by the Zephyr company.
I like the design, features etc. Physically it appears to have solid construction that will last. It operates well (one hour continuously after installation) The noise is quite low at low levels and somewhat loud at high levels-like a box fan, but that is to be expected; it wasn't obnoxious. If you have something burning on the stove, the noise will not be your primary concern.
The two lamps provide good lighting and the delay shut off was about 5 minutes - at medium speed, which it selects.
The installation instructions are somewhat inconsistent even within the installation manual itself. What is particularly aggravating is the insufficient amount of information. For example: the face panel (what you see when looking at the fans) can be removed, three screws. It is a tight fit - strong fingers help. What is not highlighted is the fact that you don't have to predrill the installation, ( and worry that you are off target) The holes are easily accessible once you remove the panel. You will be able to have a tight attachment.
The electrical connection is shown going up from the top or out of the back. Excellent! But, the junction box inside the hood is only designed for the top exit. You will need to have a hole drilled in the cover plate and the proper transition piece to allow the wiring to exit.
When the kitchen is in operation, I'll add some more.

Pretty solid product all the way around. Nice build quality and finish. It draws air well. Three speeds are great and lights are bright with a dim level as well. Price is decent but could be a little cheaper. One con is the fan is a little noisy but not too bad for the cfm draw.

Remodeled kitchen relocating microwave from above cook top and installed range hood. Zepher hood is stylish, easy to install, and easy to use. Air flow is very effective at each speed. Only negative aspect would be flow noise at high speed.
