650 CFM 36 Inch Wide Stainless Steel Under Cabinet Range Hood with 3 Speed Mechanical Slide Controls from the Cyclone Collection
Lousy lamp engineering
The bulbs on this fan are difficult to install due to limited clearance and deep recesses. Even more troublesome is replacement of burned out bulbs. It seems that the heat from the bulbs causes them to stick in the socket. With little of the bulb exposed to grip onto they are unlikely to unscrew by hand alone. I resorted to using packing tape to gain a purchase and even them removal was tenuous. It should be a rule that engineers use the products they design.

Yep, the lights stink but there is an easy fix.
As the previous 2 reviews indicate, the lamps are no good. Mine kept burning out prematurely. After some emails back and forth, Zephyr finally sent me (free) halogen bulbs used by the Hurricane AK2536 model, and that solved the problem. The Cyclone and Hurricane housings seem basically identical except for controls and bulbs. You can order the Hurricane (halogen) bulbs from Zephyrs website, and I think they are fairly generic - might be able to get them at Home Depot.
I'm about to buy this hood for the second time. Moved and left it installed at the old house. Now I miss it so ordering one for the new house. Should have taken it with me, oh well. Figured I might want something different but after researching other models and realizing I need the 7" tall size, I came back to this one as the best choice for a reasonably priced 600+ CFM hood

Zephyr AK6536 Bulb Bigger than Socket
I have just purchased and have the hood installed in my new kitchen. These bulbs are too big. They pertrude outside the socket and hurt the eyes. You must keep your gaze down while cooking. Even if you stand at a distance of 10 feet, these bulbs glare at you.
I would hate to spend more money to buy a set of new bulbs, if any, that might fit in the socket.
