How To Install an Outdoor Wall Sconce

Follow these step-by-step instructions for replacing a wall sconce

In less than 30 minutes, you can install a new outdoor wall sconce for your home. Keep your curb appeal looking good by installing a newer and more up-to-date wall sconce.

NOTE: Make sure to turn off your electricity that powers the wall sconce location.

Step 1

Since you’re working with electricity, cut the power to the room at the junction box.

Remove the old wall sconce. And be sure to unhook the electrical wires.

Step 3

 Some wall sconces will come with a necessary mounting bracket. Make sure to install that next.

Step 4

Connect the proper wires together. You will want to consult the installation manual that comes with the light. If you have further questions, then consult an electrician.

Step 5 

Last, mount the new wall sconce securely to the wall. Then, secure the new light bulb.
