What makes Modern Forms fans so smart? They have a range of capabilities that make traditional on/off switches seem so old fashioned. Your fan and light can be controlled by the latest tech and, over time, these fans will even learn your daily schedule so you can tell them to operate automatically based on your preferences.

Control your fan with your voice by connecting it with your Amazon Alexa or Google Home system. You can instruct your virtual assistant to turn the fan and luminaire on or off, adjust the fan speed, or dim the lights.

A wifi connection and a mobile device is all you need to control your fans from anywhere. The free app is powerful, but easy to use. It lets you control any connected Modern Forms fan in your home. Turn them on, adjust the speed, change the blade rotation, or activate the lights. You can also set up a calendar to automate functions, or invite other users to control the fans through their own devices. An optional wifi touch panel wall control includes all the functions found in the app.

Every Modern Forms fan comes with a Radio Frequency (RF) wall control so you can adjust light and fan settings without using wifi. The wall switch control can be used to turn the fan or luminaire on and off, adjust the fan to six different speeds, and dim the lights down to one-percent.

Safe and Energy Efficient

To save energy, use the app to automate things like fan speed and operation times on a weekly or 365-day calendar cycle. The program can be set to account for times when your home is occupied and adjust for seasonal temperature patterns. When connected with your home automation system, including Nest thermostats, the fan will automatically switch blade direction when your heating or cooling system is activated. In Summer Mode, the blades will rotate to push cool air down into the room. In Winter Mode, the blades will reverse to redistribute the warm air that gathers near the ceiling.

Modern Forms fans can also help keep your home safe and secure. If a connected smoke alarm is activated, your fan will automatically shut down to prevent a fire from spreading. Set the Away Mode when you’re on vacation and the fan and light will turn on and off at random times to make your home appear to be occupied.

Integrated LED luminaires are long-lasting and energy efficient. They can be turned on or off, and dimmed through the app, the wall control, or your virtual assistant. Powerful DC motors are quiet, reliable, and up to 70% more efficient than AC fans.
