Great Looking Tub, Very Difficult InstallationThe Tub is "Thin" walled acrylic, as it states in the specs and hints at in the weight of the product. Pricing is great, and probably a third of what you might expect to pay for tub and comparable hardware in other brands. Make sure you get this tub in your possession before you try to rough in the plumbing based on any PDF's that are floating around the web. In fact, I would recommend not hooking up the faucet in the manner in which the online PDF suggests or the Paper Instructions that came with the Tub/Faucet. The flexible hoses that connect into the bottom of the faucet were 2-2.5" below the finished floor height, leaving no room to connect and push into the pipe. My solution was to buy adapters and flexible hose extensions to the connections that were horizontal inthe 10x5-5/8" hole in the floor. I'd also put tub as far away from the wall as your significant other can stand to make hooking up drain easier. I recommend based on looks, I don't based on Engineering.

Good VAlueI bought this about a month ago and it was just recently installed. The tub has a great updated transitional look. The acrylic material is not as heavy duty as a cast tub tub, but then again you are not paying the nearly the same as a cast tub. The only negative I have it the tub top piece has a slightly rough finished edge. On the pictures it is the "lip" around the top of the tub. That is the top or inner piece as the tub it two parts. The faucet being included is the real savings. It is able to blend with our Moen faucets and not look too contemporary. Overall we are happy with it and would buy it again.

Very flimsy and paper thin tubThe pricing bundle with the faucet included was very attractive so we took a chance and ordered online. The tub is very thin and since made of acrylic it is just flimsy. No insulation between the tub lining and the tub itself. We are going to put some insulation between the outer and inner tub components to hope it keeps the water warm. Had we seen the tub before we bought we would have walked away from the product in spite of the attractive pricing. I would recommend if you do get an acrylic tub make sure it comes with the insulation included. In hindsight I would recommend going with a resin composite because they are more solid feeling. Twice the price and you get what you pay for.

Great option for a soak tub on limited budgetNice look and comes with tub filler. Quality is equal to price and good value for the money, has the appearance of more expensive one piece tub but is achieved with two pieces. my first reaction was paper thin and cheap but once together gives the appearance of high end quality product...great for flip or the occasional bather but would not suggest using in a high end home without first informing your client.

Excellent value. looks greatDo to my original General contractor bailing on me, and time needed to find a new contractor, I bought this tub/downfiller combo almost a year before I ended up getting it taking it out of the box and installing it. I will start off by saying that American Standard provided excellent customer support and honored their warranty. The downfiller's plumbing is somewhat difficult to install; even plumbers have difficulty with supply lines having to be installed below the floor level. But, once in, the downfiller unit is beautiful and works great.
When we were positioning the original tub's outer shell onto the bathroom floor, we noticed what looked like a dent on the front panel. It turned out to be a manufacturing "ripple" defect. I called Build.com who then contacted American Standard. American Standard had me contact a local contact who could determine next steps and if this tub could be fixed. The contact determined that the tub would need to be replaced. I contacted Build.com to relay the information. To Build.com's credit, my new tub was shipped immediately and arrived in just a couple of days. American Standard's response was incredibly good. I was expecting a problem because so much time had passed since we received the original tub, BUT American Standard and Build.com lived up to their word and made me a very happy customer. The replacement tub is beautiful and looks like tubs much, much more expensive. It feels solid once inside when bathing, and makes my bathroom look very cool. I have nothing but praise for American Standard and Build.com
