Product Technologies:

  • Lifetime warranty: As an American company, American Standard showers are built tough. Their products live longer in one place than most people do. Drip-free ceramic disc valves, high-grade lead-free brass alloys, and turbine shower heads cables name just a few of the features which make American Standard showers the industry’s longest lasting. To back this up, all American Standard showers are covered under a lifetime warranty.
  • Indestructible Finishes: Through employing only the best finishing practices, such as physical vapor deposition, American Standard shower finishes are some of the strongest in the industry. When the finish is actually incorporated into the brass, rather than a coating on the outside, the result is a flawless appearance that eliminates tarnishing, pitting, and peeling while hiding scratches. For this reason, American Standard shower finishes are fully covered under the lifetime warranty.
  • TRIMendous Universal Valve Bodies: Should you ever change your mind about the style of your bathroom and wish to change out the fixtures, this shower trim package can easily be swapped out for any other American Standard shower trim without having to break into the wall and replace the valve. The Universal valve body and trim assemblies make the switch a breeze.

American Standard 7220.732 Reviews

Rated 3 out of 5 by from How well will it wear? After I received and inspected this faucet, I returned it and purchased a more expensive one. Like another reviewer, I noticed that the escutcheons were plastic, although made to look identical to the metal finish. They look fine now, but over time, plastic and metal will age differently. I was also concerned about the plastic sleeve inside the faucet handle. The plastic sleeve actually turns the valve, so if anyone were to over-tighten it, the plastic would absorb all the torque. It seemed to me that there was potential for wear, looseness, or cracking. My reservations have to do, not with how well the faucet works now, but how it will wear over 10 - 20 years.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Quality not as expected The faucet handles are sturdy chrome plated brass but the escutcheons (trim) behind them are made of plastic and are easily cross threaded when attempting to install them. I'm concerned about the life expectancy of the plastic parts. Chrome finish flaking off, scratches, ETC. All other parts are chrome plated brass.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from quality first I choose this product after much review of other products, many of which was some form of plastic. Experience had shown that quality means long service life as well as maintaining the finish you had planned on. This is a well engineered product that will provide years of service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fit for unusual layout I had a difficult time trying to find a replacement for my old fixtures. American Standard met all my requirements with the prefect style, and color we wanted. And I didn't have to tear out my tile !!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent option for remodel We wanted to remodel our two (2) guest bathrooms without having to re-tile the showers. This two (2) handle set works very well and was easy to retrofit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from exactly what I needed It is hard to find older styles like this anywhere, you cannot find them in home improvemnet stores. I need this style and I wanted quality and this product delivered both. It has worked great so far, and I am confident that it will continue to do so.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality -Great Price A hard-to- find item at a wonderful price. I am really pleased with the quality and beauty of this item. Due to the lack of a picture I wasn't sure what I would be getting. I had ordered a Delta Victorian facuet for another bathroom, and the quality of this item was comparable. It is a very pretty faucet and the handles are lovely. You won't be disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it--except for the plastic This faucet and spout (we didn't install the shower head) are just what we needed. They make a lovely addition to the bathroom we're upgrading. They look great, work well, and installed easily. The ordering and shipping could not have worked better. The only reason I'm not giving this 5 stars is because the manufacturer (not Faucet Direct) has chosen to use a chrome-finished plastic flange to tie in with the wall, and included instructions not to use abrasive cleaners on it. I scour my bathroom to keep it clean, so this adds a layer of complexity I don't appreciate. I'd pay more for a metal flange I could scrub for years without having to think about what can be used to clean it.
