Best optionWe started out looking for a Kohler Smart Divide Sink because we thought it would be nice to be able to handle large cookie sheets and pans within the sink to keep water from the surrounding areas, but didnt want a porcelain and we just were not convinced that the granite sinks would not collect hard water deposits and look bad without excessive cleaning (especially the black which was our preference). This American Standard sink really fits the requirements we needed and looks great. The one large sink allows all our large cookware to be laid down in the sink for washing and the rack (purchased separately) protects it from scratches

Exceeded expectations in all respects. We chose this large sink because our broiler pans and cookie sheets fit flat in the the large basin. The price was lowest, call center customer service was very helpful in placing the order, and delivery was 2 days earlier than promised. We will definitely shop here again!

Great sink, OK valueWe recently installed this undermount sink as part of a kitchen renovation, and so far are very pleased with it. It is an immeasurable improvement over the shallow, symmetrical two-bowl sink we used previously. We chose this sink because we wanted a double bowl sink with one very long, very deep bowl. The American Standard was especially good for us because the large bowl is also very wide (front to back dimension), and the bottom is quite flat. The small bowl, which we use mostly for disposal duty, is offset nicely away from the backsplash to allow options for fixture mounting- we put our large single handle, single hole pull-out faucet right between the two bowls, and it easily reaches all sink real estate. The granite fabricators were impressed with the small scallop cut out of the mounting flange at the back of the big bowl- that also allows for mounting a faucet tight to the sink, which is apparently a simple feature they had not encountered previously(!?!). Also, the large bowl is nicely damped, so water falling from about 20" above hardly splashes and makes surprisingly little noise. Finally, the finish out of the box was flawless, and it has held up well during initial use.
My only complaint, which is really more of a caveat emptor for readers, is that at ~$750, this is an expensive piece of stainless steel. My guess is that there are competitive products available out there at a substantially lower cost. This said, I must admit that there is an air of build and finish quality that seems to set this sink apart from the products one typically encounters on display at the home improvement mega stores.
