does this item need a separate faucet to turn it on & off and also to adjust the temperature??
A. The Delta 57021 would also need the handle and valve to control it. A few examples would be the Delta T14038, T13020, BT14096 or t14051. All of these would need the associated rough-in valve from the R10000 series.
I have just received the Delta 57021-SS. I noticed that it seems there is a piece that is not inlcuded...the transistion piece that connects the hose to the water source which is sticking out of the wall. Can you please advise?.
A. That piece is sold separately it is the Delta 50560.
Is the head solid metal or chrome plated plastic?
A. The Delta 57021 hand held will have plastic and some metal components on it, it is not solid metal.
Will this unit work with the T17078 control and R100000-unbx valve?
A. The Delta 57021 can be combined with item T17078 and valve R10000-unbx.
will this work with Delta Faucet T17T455 and what other parts are needed
A. The Delta 57021 will work in combination with item Delta T17T455. You will also need to add a diverter to allow you to switch the water between showerheads. There is a shower arm diverter model Delta 50650. Or you can get a in wall diverter trim and valve models Delta T11855 and valve R11000.
Would this work with Delta T18240-SS? Would any other parts other than the rough-in valve (R18224-WS) be needed?
A. The Delta 57021 will work with the T18240-XO along with the rough in R18222-XO or R18222-XOWS. The XO means extra outlet which will give you the ability to run the hand shower with this unit. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
Does the handshower tilt downward - Does the metal hose come in bronze?
A. The Delta 57021 handshower does tilt downward. The hose will come in the finish that you select.
I am ordering the T11955 trim package. The rough in I have is the R10000. Will that work together and which handheld showerhead can I use with this.
A. The Delta 57021 must be used with the Delta R11000 rough in valve and can be used with any Delta handheld shower.
I am thinking of using this item withT17255, is there any other parts that I would need?
A. The Delta 57021 working with the T17255 will need to have some type of diverter. Either a shower arm diverter or a diverter valve and trim.
Is there a delta grab bar that matches this shower?
A. The Delta 57021 does have a grab bar available in a style that is similar. The delta 55083 is a 29" grab bar and is adjustable. It is available in four finishes.
Will the delta 57021 work with American Standard R-420 two way in- wall diverter?
A. The Delta 57021 will work with the American Standard R420 as long as you purchase the correct American Standard trim.
Does this have the metal hose?
A. The inner hose of the Delta 57021 is composed of a mixture of interwoven metal and fabric. A thin vinyl/plastic coating is applied to the outside of the hose in order to lessen noise and allow for the finish coating to be applied; also to prevent water from corroding the metal.
If I use this this item with the T18255 do I need any other parts?
A. You will need the appropriate rough-in valves as well as a diverter trim and valve.

A. Yes, this hand shower can be used with the RP3914.

A. The Delta 57021 is an add on and will work fine with any brand of system you have if a diverter is installed, yes.

A. You can purchase the 55041-PK which is just the slide bar.

A. The Delta 57021 slide bar is made out of brass.
Is this slide bar and slider mechanism compatible with the Delta 58045?
A. The Delta 57021 is not recommended for use with the 58045.
What is the proper rough in valve for the 57021? Is it the r10000-unbx?
A. The Delta 57021 is going to use the R10000-unbx.
What is the difference between the 57021 and the 57014
A. The difference is aesthetically. They have the same specifications of for performance but look quite different.
Is the valve included with the Delta 57021?
The Delta 57021-SS is only the hand shower. If you want to add this to an existing shower unit, you will need this, as well as, a transfer/diverter trim and valve.
Is there an on/off flow valve in the handle itself?
There is not a valve to turn the handheld shower on and off; that would be controlled by the wall diverter.
What do I need to purchase to make this work with T17278?
The Delta 57021 will require both a shower trim and a three-function diverter. This will allow for one shared position and two independent positions. I recommend the Delta T17278 and the T11800.
Can I replace with the hand held shower head and mount bar?
The Delta Delta 57021 hose can be attached to the shower arm in place of the shower head. You would not need any additional components.
