What is the length of the locking tab? What size socket or spanner is required to tighten the nut.
The piece you are referring to is called the "straight cam," which protrudes 1 5/8" from the cylinder. The manufacturer recommends tightening by hand and then use 7/8" wrench (7/8" bolt) about 1/4 turn should do it.
