Single Handle Kitchen Faucet with Side Spray from the Forte Collection
Easy to repair
I have had this faucet for 4 years. It recently started
leaking from under the handle. I took the faucet apart and decided I needed 2 new rubber O rings. I also noted I had a lot of scaling inside the faucet due to our hard water. I found a video on YouTube that showed how to repair a leaking faucet. Followed the instructions and did what was shown. I was unable to locate the proper O ring at Lowes, where I purchased the faucet. I ended up putting everything back together after using CLR to remove the scaling in the faucet housing. I made sure to rub vaseline around the O rings before reinstalling. Leak has stopped!! I am still going to order new O rings as I suspect I will have leaks again.

Worked for 3 years...
But now, just am not liking it! The faucet leaks; not only at the base, but pours out at the seam just below the handle. The water pressure is awful, even after cleaning the aerator. Have to take the aerator off to get a nice flow of water. But the biggest problem is the leakage... for a no-leak faucet, it is the worst I've seen. Want to fix it because replacing a faucet with my sink is a bear, but it looks like that's not an option (so I found out). Looks nice! but what a disappointment.

Nothing but trouble
I agree with others who have had this faucet for longer than two years. It started leaking about 2 years after installation, and I have had it repaired about every six months since then for the leaky handle (which has also ruined the grout near the faucet). Now after 4 repairs, Kohler is sending out a replacement faucet (which I will of course pay to have installed). When this one leaks I'm going to see if they will send me an alternate faucet!!! Don't buy this model unless you want trouble.

I'd like Kohler to design around this: This faucet wrapped in a bath towel. I have bought this faucet twice. The first one leaked from base and seam within six months. Repairs were not successful. I so liked the style that I thought I just got a lemon...so I bought another. Within a year, same song, second verse. Drip. Drip. Drip. I virtually bought a third faucet with the plumbing charges. Kohler knows they have a problem with this item and should discontinue it, as should Faucet Direct.

I have had this faucet for about 6 years. I love the design and look - simple, clean, classic. It worked great for about 1 year, then the sprayer would not spray. As it was within the warranty period I contacted Kohler and they sent me a replacement sprayer. Seemed to work OK but it has never had strong pressure. Currently it sprays but water still comes out the faucet. Then a couple of years ago the faucet started to leak around the handle - had a plumber come out to repair sprayer and leak. Now it is leaking again. I have to wipe up the water every time I use the faucet. It is too bad because I really like the look. I bought it originally on this website so came back to research whether I should order another (maybe I got a lemon?) or get a different model altogether. Seeing how others had the same problem I will NOT be ordering the Kohler.

Happy with my purchase
The look of the chrome faucet fits nicely with the new counter top and double sink I had installed to update my old kitchen. The faucet is a perfect reach to the drains. I knew from reading reviews prior to purchase that the spray was plastic. I considered other faucets with the pull down spray but was concerned about the long term durability. The side spray looks fine and performs well, it would have been nice to have metal. I've only had the products for a few weeks, time will tell.

Pros and Cons
Only bought this model to replace existing that had been installed for two years and had started to leak. Needed another two-hole faucet and this one looks pretty good, so....Didn't have receipt from the original or would have just asked Kohler for a replacement cylinder/valve as it is apparently covered by their lifetime warranty. Anyway, the hot and cold water supply hoses attached to the faucet came in kinked up already. They are very flimsy rubber fabric; those on the older faucet were more metallic and apparently more sturdy. Thought the new hoses would straighten out on their own once the water was flowing but the hot water hose never did and it restricts the water flow. Luckily I was able to remove the hoses from the old faucet and exchange with the new ones: I don't see the hoses on the replacement parts listing in the installation guide.

Remember the silicone grease
We have two of these faucets, and like some of the other reviewers had leaking problems after 1-2 years. After the second failure, Kohler sent us a replacement washer kit. It turns out that all we needed from the kit was the Dow Corning 111 Valve Lubricant and Sealant! Since then, whenever the faucet starts to leak (usually after about a year), I pull it apart and add some grease - and the problem goes away for another year.

Great No Frills Faucet
I am very happy with this Faucet. It is a relatively basic faucet with a side sprayer, Chrome finish, just what I was looking for. Although the features are basic, the quality is excellent. The finish is very nice, the water flow is strong, temperature control is easy. The construction is very solid and installation went as expected. It is a significant improvement over the previous faucet that I had.

Looks are deceiving
This faucet looks nice, but has constantly reoccurring leaks - seems like at least once per year it needs a repair which is a major hassle. Very overpriced faucet considering it won't even function properly.
