Wall Mount Kitchen Faucet from Karbon Collection
KOHLER K 6228 WALL MOUNT KITCHEN FAUCET
I VERY MUCH AGREE WITH THE FIRST REVEIWER.
THIS THING COST A LOT OF MONEY. UNFORTUNATELY, YOU DON'T HAVE A LOT OF OPTIONS AND CHOICES WHEN IT COMES TO REPLACING AN OLD STYLE WALL MOUNT KITCHEN FAUCET. THIS PARTICULAR FAUCET WILL NOT FIT YOUR STANDARD HOT - COLD FIXTURE PIPES. I HAD TO HIRE A PLUMBER TO REMOVE MY EXISTING FIXTURE AND TEAR OUT MY EXISTING PENNY TILES, PLASTER, AND DRYWALL TO EXPOSE THE EXISTING WATER LINES BEHIND THE WALL. HE THEN HAD TO CUT, SHAPE, SOLDER, AND STRAP THE MIXTURE VALVE ASSEMBLY BETWEEN THE WALL STUDS (TWO MEN, 3 HOURS, $375.00).
AFTER THE MIXTURE VALVE HAD BEEN INSTALLED, I HAD A GAPPING 18 BY 5 INCH HOLE IN THE WALL ABOVE MY KITCHEN SINK. EVEN WORST, I HAD NO WATER TO MY KITCHEN SINK FOR 3 DAYS WHILE I HIRED A TILE MAN TO RE-DRYWALL, RE-PLASTER, AND RE-TILE AROUND THE EXPOSED SPOUT PLUG AND PLASTER GUARD (ONE MAN, 5 HOURS, $270.00).
WHEN THAT WAS ACCOMPLISHED, THE PLUMBER HAD TO COME BACK AND COMPLETE THE INSTALLATION OF THE FAUCET, IT'S CONTROL LEVER, AND THE BRIGHT WORK ($175.00).
WITH EVERYTHING SAID AND DONE THE COST IS $1,800.00. NONTHELESS, THIS FAUCET IS THE BOMB! IT'S BEAUTIFUL. FUNCTIONAL, AND IT'S A KOHLER. ALTHOUGH EXPENSIVE, WE FEEL GOOD ABOUT THE PURCHASE BECAUSE OUR KICHEN FAUCET HAS BECOME A PIECE OF ART AND A CONVERSATION PIECE.
WE HAVE A MODERN HOME. LOTS OF WINDOWS, DOORS, GLASS, AND CHROME. THE FINISH IS ONE OF CHROME AND CARBON FIBER. THIS DEVICE WORKS PERFECTLY IN TERMS OF PROMOTING THE MODERN DESIGN AND STYLE OF OUR HOME.

Very cool faucet
We bought this faucet because we needed a wall mount faucet in our newly remodeled kitchen. The sink we got is very big and there was limited counter space for a counter mounted faucet. There aren't many wall mount faucets on the market that have a single handle and that are flexible and can be pointed to different parts of the sink. In fact this was the only one I found. And yes, it's unbelievably expensive. In the end we bit the bullet and got it. It was just installed yesterday and it looks great! It goes very well with our stainless steel sink and all the appliances (also ss), but also surprisingly, with the old-world look of my new cabinets and tumbled marble backsplash. My kitchen looks like an old Italian farmhouse cucina that was brought up to 21 century speed. Fabulous! The faucet is not only stylish, but also very practical, as it can be tucked in and out of the way for full access to my big sink, or extended all the way out to clean its square corners. There is no splashing. The only thing we have to get used to is the spray function: once you switch to this, you can't go back to stream, unless you turn the water off. However, I don't think this will be a problem. And the on/off-hot/cold control handle is very easy to operate. All in all, a great faucet (for a ton of money, I agree...)
