A. The Schlage F40-ACC does not come with a square corner faceplate, but that type of faceplate can be ordered separately from our website.
How do you unlock the door from the outside if you accidentally lock and close the door?
A. The Schlage F40-ACC can be unlocked from the outside with an emergency key that is supplied with the item. The emergency key is placed in a hole located in the center of the exterior lever. Sometimes, using something like a bobby pin or small object will work as a unlock tool as well.
How much do you have to turn the handle to open/unlatch the door?
A. The Schlage F40-ACC requires about a 90 degree turn to fully open.
Is this the complete set with both handles, locking mech. and striker plate?
A. The Schlage F40-ACC is a complete set with the locks, both handles, strike plates and faceplates.

A. The Schlage F40-ACC is reversable.

A. The Schlage F40-ACC is only available in the standard polished brass.
How can I disable the locking mechanism on this door handle?
A. When the Schlage F40-ACC is locked, it will be able to be unlocked by the outside using the privacy key included. There will be an access hole to stick the pin into. Then there is button inside that once the pin pushes on it, it will release the lock and the door will be able to be opened.
I need a satin nickel/polished chrome lever handle with the locking button on the chrome side. right-handed door. can this be ordered specifically? It does not seem that 'reversible' is accurate.

The Schlage F40-ACC come with an emergency key that looks like a large pin. You actually stick it through the small hole on the front of the handle set to release.
