About Von Duprin
Von Duprin has been a story of innovation for decades. Its most significant breakthrough was in 1972 when it introduced the industry's first push pad device. Since then, the company has continued to improve on existing design, as well as creating new technology. Backed by the strength of Ingersoll Rand, the quality in design and craftsmanship of Von Duprin commercial door hardware has created a reputation that is unmatched.
Exit devices are a critical part of building safety so having a safe and reliable device is imperative. Von Duprin exit devices are most popular among commercial contractors because they meet the most rigorous testing standards. All Von Duprin 99 series exit devices are manufactured in accordance to ISO 9001 Quality Management System, meaning they demonstrate the ability to consistently produce a high-quality product, as well as displaying a process for continual improvement of that product. They are also UL listed for panic or fire hardware, are certified ANSI A156.3, 2001, and Grade 1. Several devices in this series are also certified for hurricane resistant applications. The 99 Series of push pad exit devices include features like fluid dampeners to decrease the push pad's impact on the return strike to eliminate most noise associated with operation. Each device is also aesthetically pleasing and available in a wide variety of finishes.
Exit devices from the Von Duprin 88 series are available as rim exit devices. Rim exit devices use a bar to open the door as opposed to a push pad. Devices in this series are tested in accordance to ANSI 156.3, 1994, and Grade 1. Designed for fire exits, these devices provide reliable functionality when it matters most.
Von Duprin Electric Strikes
Von Duprin electric strikes are also very well known in the commercial door hardware industry. Electric strikes provide remote release of a locked door. This allows the door to open without retracting the latchbolt. The Von Duprin 6211 is its most popular electric strike and is designed for use in new installations for single, hollow metal door frames with mortise locks without deadbolts or cylindrical locks. All Von Duprin electric strikes are manufactured with heavy-duty stainless steel and are tested to over 250,000 cycles. They are rated for 1500 lbs. of holding strength and have 70 lbs. of impact strength.
Amongst our collection of exit device parts, you will find the popular selection of Von Duprin power supplies. The PS914-2RSis its most popular unit and is designed to meet the specific requirements of electrified panic devices. Installation has been simplified by using a flat mounting design to eliminate the requirement for racks and side connectors. These devices have been tested to meet UL294 by the Standard of Safety for Access Control System Units.
