Augusta Single Cylinder Keyed Entry Handleset from the Welcome Home Series with the Weiser Lock 5-Pin Keyway
Fantastic Product, BUT......
This product was everthing as advertised. After the repacement it looks so much better that our original hardware. The one thing that needs to be changed is that there were only directions on how to changing the keying of the lock (a feature I fell in love with). Not one installation instruction anywhere. It was a puzzle at points of the installation. I believe that a 20 minute job was turned into a hour and 30 minutes because of the lack af even the basic of instructions. The product is great, it looks fantastic, but directions could only help.

Not the Same One
I bought this to replace the Weiser I bought in the mid 90s, as it was becoming discolored and I couldn't clean it. I couldn't find the same model number on Weiser's website, so I called the company at least twice to confirm that this was the same model as the one I currently had. I did not want to have to re-stain the door, drill new holes, etc. if the new one did not line up with the old. I was assured that this was the same one. Well, when I installed it, I discovered that the handle part was longer than the old one and extended below the old one. I had a heck of a time finding a stain to match (it doesn't), and I had to drill a new hole to secure the bottom on the handle. If I'd known this before I ordered, I wouldn't have spent over $200 - I would have gotten something less expensive.

Price on handlesets.com is way better than that 'direct buy' merchandise store. My mistake was in not specifying the kind of interior knob I wanted, thinking the old weiser round knob would fit this new handleset. Wrong! Do need to specify the interior choice, round knob or lever. I didn't, and I got the lever type.

All's Well That Ends Well
I ordered this, and the set screw was faulty. I reported it, and was sent a new one which works great. I appreciate good customer service like that.
