3 Blade 44" Flushmount Ceiling Fan - Light, Handheld Remote Control and Blades Included
We had a somewhat tight loft space and the Minka 44" flushmount was perfect. Cory, our Lighting Direct CSR was extremely helpful. We had questions about how the remote would work with a three way switch and he answered them all. The light and fan remember the remote settings and default to them when the wall switches are turned on and off. The fan is very high quality, very quiet, moves a lot of air and the dimming light goes from soft ambient to bright for reading. The manufacturer suggests having a fan mountable electrical box that will support the fan weight. We were able to find ceiling studs and sturdily mount the fan in the existing light box.

Fan is in a 12' X 12' sunroom. It looks big in there. Circulates a lot of air. Is silent. Remote works nicely. Light is dimmable with remote. And the light seems plenty bright to me. When I was making purchase decision, many reviews complained about the brightness of the light. It's a 100 watt halogen, which is pretty bright, particularly in a house where every other bulb is a CFL of no more than 23 watts. With 8' ceiling there is still plenty of headroom. I would recommend this fan to anybody. I was also impressed by both the low power consumption of the fan motor and the efficiency of the air flow. Check it out.

Superior Quality and Style
We needed a smaller profile ceiling fan with a specific diameter with a wireless remote to be installed in place of a high hat in our kitchen. This fit the bill perfectly. The "wing span" of the blades is just the right size. The sleek style is good for our decor. It does not dominate the room. Operation is so, so quiet. It's smaller, but powerful--creates a good current. Excellent quality. Easy for the electrician to install. Had to return an extra remote that I didn't need because it was already int he box. With Lighting Direct.com, the entire return process was seamless and hassle-free. Pleasant customer service rep! Thanks. --Satisfied customer.

Have low ceiling in bedroom. Wanted ceiling fan with light, but they were all too tall. I had to walk carefully through my dark room to find a lamp to turn on, versus flicking the light switch right inside the bedroom door. This fan was very easy for me to put up. Wired myself into existing wires from old ceiling fan that didn't have a light. LOVE that it's 3 easy blades to clean. Modern-looking...sleek...the white color blends into my white ceiling giving my 14x14 a well-organized look. (No more 'welcome to my ceiling fan' when I walk in. Love the remote control...NO PULL CHAINS dangling! Fan does an excellent job....looks sharp. Will get another one for the kitchen.

Disapointed with fan,but great customer service
When we received this ceiling fan and opened it up we were disappointed with the appearance of the fan blades, they appear to have a really cheap finish that really takes away from the nicely finished main unit. This fan is also extremely heavy and should only be mounted on a strong reinforced light box,and should you choose to mount it I suggest you make it a two man job.We decided to return this fan and found the customer service department very helpful in instructing us how to ship the unit back and receive our refund, their prepaid shipping labels also allow you to return the product for a very fair shipping rate.

Minka aire is airless - BAD product
We purchased three Minka Aire Concept II fans for close to $1,000 3 years ago when we did a kitchen/family room remodel. The stainless steel version shown in the advertisement - an adorably modern fan - failed to operate at the two year earmark. That's curplunk! We have generic 15-yr-old fans still spinning. The dealer we purchased it from refused to help us. They are a Peoria, Illinois business we will not purchase from again, nor recommend. Minka Corp Co. reps were not help and told us our fan was dead. Local repair was unavailable. We've got a cute fan in our garage, and a bare ceiling in our kitchen. No more Minkas for us. Big NO. Our el-cheapo fans are still going strong at 15 years. Cute Minkas - no.

Licensed Electrician disappointed in design
Installed this fan in my own home. I've been in the electrical field for over 12 years. The fan looks great but designed poorly. This fan can ONLY be controlled by a remote control. Every fan I've ever installed gives the option between a wall switch and remote control but not these guys. After speaking with Minka aire I found a wall switch that only they make (surprise, surprise). Bought the special Minka Aire wall switch and found now that the remote control wont work in tandem with the switch. Also, the switch glows BRIGHT BLUE at night via an LED. What a stupid design. So now in order to use my fan at night I have to look at a bright blue light emitting from my wall. All Minka aire had to say is "sorry". What a waste of a good looking fan. Very poorly designed.

This is an excellent purchase and a high quality fan. It is the second one I have acquired. It's very well built and is particularly smooth-running. It has multi-speeds, reverse motion, and operates with a remote unit.
The only downside was with the 100w halogen lamp included with the unit. I was glad that it was included. Per instructions, I carefully installed it making sure not to get body oils on the lamp. However, the lamp burned out within an hour of installation. I suspect it already had been improperly handled before it was packed. I replaced it with another, making sure to clean it with alcohol even as it was taken from the package. This one has worked very well ever since.
Despite that, I would strongly recommend this ceiling fan.

I could tell as soon as I opened the box that this was a quality product. The fan is heavier than most that are the same size which is likely why it is so quiet when running.
It is very easy to install, clean and classy looking and very quiet (except on the highest setting - you do not hear the fan, you hear the amount of air it is moving).
I love the fan and I would most certainly recommend it - the low profile is also absolutely perfect in my new kitchen. Everyone that comes in to my new kitchen comments on how nice the fan looks.
I would recommend also buying the wall mounted switch (as the fan comes with a wall mountable remote which is nice but does not fit in to an electrical box) - by having both I am able to control the fan/light from either-both entrances to the kitchen. I love the remote too - great product!!!

I have 3 now - enough said
I bought my first Minka Aire in 2004 when they still had a conventiaonl light bulb. I purchased two more this year. (I like the new miniature light bulbs. The fan features a three speed remote control, it's quite, and the remote makes reversing the fan very easy. The three blades seem to move the aire just fine. The electrician that helped me install it said it was the easiest install of a fan he has done. (He said that when he saw me snap the blades in in about 30 seconds). So far, my three fans (2 stainless and 1 brushed) have been terrific.
