Ostberg 487 CFM Circular In-Line Duct Fan with Backward Curved Impeller and 6" Duct from the CK Series
The CK is an in-line centrifugal duct fan with high capacity and excellent reliability. The straight through radial fan is compact and very easy to install. It can cope with high pressure and long duct runs, whilst still operating at acceptable sound levels. The CK range of fans have casings manufactured from galvanized steel and are moisture resistant. They are approved for installation in humid or damp environments being rated IP44 when installed in a duct system. The fan speed can be controlled by voltage variation regulators. Several fans can be connected to the same controller providing the total rating of the controller is not exceeded. The motors are an external rotor type asynchrony motor. They have maintenance free sealed ball bearings and are protected from over heating by thermo contacts. The fans must not be used for transporting grinding dust, soot or similar.
Ostberg is one of the leading manufacturers of in-line duct fans with its head office and manufacturing facility based in Avesta Sweden. All CA Ostberg fans are manufactured from the best quality components and prior to dispatch every fan is tested and the results are computer stored for future reference. Ostberg is a company you can rely on today and in the future.

This fan sucksI installed this fan in my attic to replace two 100 CFM ceiling mount exhaust fans that were venting into the attic. It works great! I think I about maxed it out though, if I were going to vent anything else I'd go with a bigger fan. I used it with one 6" adjustable ceiling mount vent, one ceiling mount wet/dry vent with built in light- 4", and with the housing of one of the existing ceiling mount bath fans - 4". One bathroom is 6x12x9 and the other is 15x25x10. If you are planning a project like this, then don't worry about the performance curves too much, just plug it in and it'll go as fast as it can. Do however, calculate your line load and make sure the ducting you use will not diminish your CFM too much.
Noise: I have an 8' run from the fan to the adjustable vent above the toilet. Its as loud as the ceiling mounted bath fan it replaced - I'm going to have to install a noise damper on that line, it only has one 90' turn. The other runs are longer and have more bends and the noise is not noticable, just the rush of wind.
