Exit devices are a critical part of the Fire and Life Safety egress system and will provide safe and reliable service when properly applied and maintained. EL99EO electric rim devices can be installed on all types of single and double doors. Vertical rod and latch guards (product RG27) are available to protect the bottom rod of the exit device from damage by impacts of carts or gurneys passing through doors. EL feature provides remote latch retraction ability to exit devices. A control station operator can flip a switch to retract the latch bolt and immediately change an exit only or latched door to push-pull operation. A powerful, continuous duty solenoid retracts the latch bolt for momentary unlocking, or for extended periods of time, in lieu of manual dogging.
